Victor Fung is an award-winning choreographer based in London and Hong Kong. He received the Award for Young Artist from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2013. His full-evening performance Not Enough (Beyond Reason) was shortlisted as one of the three Outstanding Independent Dance Works for the 2012 Hong Kong Dance Awards. He has been funded and commissioned internationally by organisations such as Arts Council England, Chisenhale Dance Space (UK), Hong Kong Arts Festival, City Contemporary Dance Company (HK), Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Hong Kong Dance Alliance, among others.

Fung has been selected to be part of the Clore Leadership Programme as a Hong Kong Scholar for 2016/17 under the mentorship of Wayne McGregor. He is also a doctoral researcher at Middlesex University in collaboration with Dance4 and a Shadow Trustee of Hofesh Shechter Company. He is currently an Associate Artist of Swindon Dance in the UK.

Chen Mei-sum graduated from the School of Drama of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Ecole Philippe Gaulier, and Griffith University (Master in Applied Theatre and Drama Education). She has performed and play-read in many performances, including TWO, the stone, the mother, Seven Jewish Children, The Eleventh Capital, Who Killed the Elephant (Hong Kong and Taiwan Women Theatre Festival), A Hong Kong Shopping Mall Odyssey: Searching for the Happy Man, A Kid Story, Hagoromo (Japanese Arts Festival, London), Fish Heads and Tales – A Tender War (Hong Kong/Beijing/Scotland touring), The Oak Tree – An Odyssey, The Metamorphosis, 5,000 Roses, Air Play (South Asia touring), and Macbeth.

Han Mei graduated from the Shaanxi Provincial Academy of Arts in 2001 majoring in Chinese folk dance. In 2002, she entered Sun Yat-sen University (Faculty of Arts and Management), Guangdong. With outstanding academic performance, Han was awarded scholarships from City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) and CCDC Dance Centre to study modern dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her performance in Homecoming, a Passoverdance production choreographed by Pewan Chow, won her the Hong Kong Dance Alliance’s Hong Kong Dance Award 2010 for Outstanding Performance by a Female Dancer. Han pushed boundaries by participating in productions of On & On Theatre Workshop, including iD Generation – Cosmo X and Kassandra – oder die Welt als Ende der Vorstellung. In 2017, she performed with local jazz band In One Stroke at Freespace Happening, West Kowloon, and participated in the recording of the original works.

Cherry Leung graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 2008, majoring in Performance and Choreography (Contemporary Dance). In 2015, she was awarded a scholarship from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund to study at the Laban Dance Centre, London, where she obtained her MFA degree (Choreography). During her studies at the HKAPA, she received scholarships from the Spring-Time Group, Hang Seng Bank, Disney Scholarship, and the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarship (2005 & 08), and performed for the HKAPA in European countries such as the UK, Germany and Belgium. In 2014, Leung’s Yat Yat received a full project grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In the same year, scenes of the production were chosen to be presented in the Beijing Dance Festival – Springboard and the City Contemporary Dance Festival – Focus Hong Kong.

Leong Huey-yi graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1997, majoring in Acting. While at school, she had achieved the Outstanding Actor Award thrice. After graduation, Leong worked for the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre as a full-time actress until 2000, where she was nominated and given the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress Awards many times by the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies.

Leong started learning ballet at a young age. From 2000 to 2004, she was a full-time performer at U-Theatre in Taiwan and joined an exchange programme at the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards. She also participated in many major arts festivals around the world, such as the Next Wave Festival in New York, Biennale de la danse de Lyon in France, Haus der Berliner Festspiele in Germany, Bergen International Festival in Norway, and Santiago International Festival in Spain.

Pansy Lo graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance majoring in Ballet. She has collaborated with different organisations, such as City Contemporary Dance Company, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Hong Kong Dance Alliance, as well as local and overseas choreographers including Sang Jijia (China), Willy Tsao (Hong Kong), Rob Tannion (Australia), Cameron McMillan (New Zealand), Ismael Ivo (Brazil), to name a few. With her outstanding performance, Lo has received several scholarships, including Dean’s Prize in Dance (2015), the Society of HKAPA Scholarship (2013 & 15), and the American Dance Festival Scholarship (2013). In 2014, she was awarded another scholarship and represented the School of Dance to participate in Biblioteca do Corpo: Professional Excellence in Dance Programme, a project associated with the ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival.

Yau Ka-hei graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2013, majoring in Contemporary Dance. During her school years, she was awarded the Mainland Exchange Scholarship from the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation to visit Inner Mongolia for cultural exchange. In 2016, she furthered her dance studies at Vertigo Dance Company, Israel.

From 2013 to 2014 Yau was a dancer of Y-Space Dance Company; as a dancer, she has collaborated with a variety of renowned local organisations and arts festivals, including Hong Kong Dance Company, Y-Space, Unlock Dancing Plaza, i-Dance Festival, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Theatre Ronin, etc. In recent years she has devoted herself to creation, and her choreographic works include Unmixed, Remain Invisible and Stubborn...ing.
