Be amazed as warrior Guan Yu zooms through time and space to 21st-century Shanghai!

Commissioned by the Rising Artists' Works of the 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, this intriguing music film revisits the story of hero Guan Yu and femme fatale Diao Chan, bringing the ancient folk tale well and truly into the present. Scintillating live music by pioneering band Xi Ban, blending Chinese opera and electronic music with an absurdist narrative set in a modern metropolis, the production explores how traditional Chinese art can respond to today's world.
