Don your wackiest costumes, and join fellow ghosts and ghouls in this Halloween music celebration!
In the mood for a Halloween party? Here's one with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra - and with a surprising twist! Manchurian shamans of China and genies of the West will come out for the night, in music and dance that meld East-West cultures, media and the arts.
It will also provide a meeting point for two "cultural ambassadors" from different parts of the world: Dirk Brossé, famous Belgian conductor-composer with the official title of "Cultural Ambassador of Flanders", will conduct the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, long regarded as a cultural ambassador for Hong Kong, in the world première of his new work, The Hallow-e'en Dances, as well as The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas. Yan Huichang, who has recently been awarded a Literary and Art Works Award, will take the audience into the mystic realms of the East through Sui Lijun's Dance of the Shaman Spirits and Kuan Nai-chung's Journey to Lhasa.
