phase7 performing.arts, a multi-media art group based in Berlin, specialises in integrating music, video and cutting-edge technology to produce enigmatic and thought-provoking views of life.
On its Hong Kong visit, the group will present two newly created installations to take viewers into the amazing realm of digitalised awareness. In Traces, a series of video screens and interactive software inter face with visitors and their movements, turning motion into sound and images and creating an ever-changing work of art. Words All Over uses video and projection techniques to examine the power that words have over our lives and to give visitors the opportunity to discover and explore the space that lies in between.
Since its formation in 1999, phase7 performing.arts has presented its remarkable works in many countries, including Dubai, France, Kuwait, Pakistan, Spain and Norway, among others. It also made a huge impression with its spectacular, three-hour production for the opening ceremony of the Federal Chancellery in Berlin, which showcased the new building in constantly evolving ways and thrilled over 25,000 spectators.
