Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company

"Choreographically ingenious and visually stunning."
- Evening Standard

Using Bharata Natyam, an Indian classical dance form as a starting point, Shobana Jeyasingh has invented a startling dance vocabulary. The avant-garde British-Asian choreographer has won numerous dance and even digital arts awards with her compact contemporary dance style that is both surprising and unpredictable. In her signature piece Exit No Exit, a sense of urgency propels seven powerful dancers into a dynamic and visually stunning dimension, characterised by multimedia images and a computerised score by iconic composer Michael Nyman.
