New Vision Arts Festival 2006

The International Association of Theatre Critics (Hong Kong) will be hosting a series of forums on "Vision and Fundamentals of Arts Criticism in Hong Kong" from 27 October to 30 October, 2006, at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre.

At these events, arts critics from Asia, Europe and the US will exchange views with their local counterparts and academics on Mu Guiying and other New Vision Arts Festival programmes.

A seminar and an open forum will be held on 30 October. At the seminar, Beijing's Hong Huang, Cao Lusheng, editor of Shanghai academic journal Theatre Arts, and Taiwan's arts critic Yu Shan Luk, as well as local arts critics will explore questions related to arts criticism. In the open forum, T. Sasitharan, Director of Theatre Training and Research Programme, Singapore, will share his thoughts on creativity, citizentry, the new economy, and the relationship between art and life.
